# One person and a fleet of agents.

Recursive AI is an independent lab in Austin, Texas. We build open tools for software that agents and people use, and we build them in the open.

## Kurtis Welch

Kurtis has spent twenty years building and running production software. Since 2023 he has worked only on agent systems, and Alera is where that work landed.

- **MCPVP**: A multiplayer game platform, started solo and grown to millions of players. Sold in 2015.
- **ZenSales**: Shipping and marketing tools for small businesses, 10,000 customers in its first two months. Sold to Ship.com in 2019.
- **Uthentic**: AI consulting for ten companies, and early work on agents that assemble themselves to solve problems.
- **STAT Recovery**: Hands-on CTO of a financial-data firm through its growth from $1M to $30M a year.

## Solo, on purpose

Everything in the devlog is Kurtis and his agents. When a project needs a specialist, a trusted collaborator joins for that project. Nobody else works on what you see here.
